Great British Hobbit League will produce live FAQ for Legacy minis

In the new edition of the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game some profiles from previous editions are to be turned into “legacy” profiles.

Saviour of the Hobbits from the Black Riders: Gildor is to become a “Legacy Profile”.

Games Workshop has said it won’t provide FAQs on how these models work in-game.

As the largest league in the world for MESBG, the management committee of the Great British Hobbit League (distinct from the Facebook group admins) has made the decision to produce an FAQ for any of the questions which these legacy profiles may provide.

The Elected GBHL Management Committee (voted for by Tournament Organisers) will be responsible for producing and maintaining the FAQ.

The details of how this process will work are ‘To Be Confirmed’ until after the release of the Legacy Profiles themselves.

But we have always strived to allow freedom and creativity in the events we support, so we will allow Tournament Organisers to Opt Out of the the FAQ we provide; if they wish. But the FAQs will be in use as standard, unless the TO decides otherwise (and specifies in their event rules).

We would encourage other gaming communities and groups to use them and provide input for improvements - and to help provide an international consensus.

Importantly though, we have no current plans to errata profiles, remove rules or change points values of Legacy Profiles.

This FAQ is solely to answer questions on rules, their wordings, interactions and to give our huge community of TOs guidance for decision making.
