Legacy FAQ
In the current edition of The Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game, Games Workshop has provided rules for Miniatures and Armies it will no longer be selling or supporting. These Legacy Profiles and Army Lists (available here) have sparked queries to those playing the game regularly. So the GBHL has compiled a Frequently Asked Questions document. To clarify, this doesn't include Erratas to change profiles or army rules, just queries on how rules interract. All questions were submitted by the community, and answers voted on by the community.

The GBHL Legacy FAQ is a completely optional document that aims to clarify Legacy related questions for players and TOs
The GBHL Legacy FAQ will not:
-
Change points values in order to 'nerf' or improve profiles and/or army lists
-
Delete, Rewrite or overrule GW’s rules in order to nerf or improve profiles and / or army lists*
The GBHL Legacy FAQ will:

-
Clarify how Legacy rules work or interact with other rules in the game
-
Provide guidance to clarify how profiles and lists work for army building purposes*
*We appreciate that for some rulings there can seem to be a “grey area” between these. Questions are asked by the community and the GBHL Committee will decide if they will be put to the public vote with suitable options. Bear in mind that it is the community vote that decides the chosen ruling. At this time we have no plans to allow challenges to these decisions.
The Process:

-
Questions are submitted to the GBHL COMMITTEE via the form below.
-
Each month the GBHL Committee will review these questions. If a member of the committee believes allowing the question to be asked constitutes a change that is an errata for the purposes of nerfing or buffing a profile / army then a vote will be held (amongst the committee). In the outcome of a majority against answering the question it will not be put up for public vote.
-
The GBHL Committee will provide suitable answers and put them up for public vote.
-
After a week the majority decision will be incorporated into the Legacy FAQ document which is hosted on the GBHL website

Please bear in mind this is a process that takes up the time and effort of the committee members. It is also a completely optional document. GBHL TOs are able to opt out of using it and although we allow input and voting from our friends in the international community we are not forcing any other community into using it. Therefore please be respectful and courteous to committee members on this topic. We can’t always get our way or what we like but it is no excuse for rudeness or uncivil behaviour. The GBHL Committee has the right to amend this process as they see fit.
