16 doubles partnerships are to compete for the first ever 'Masters & Commanders' invitational GBHL event. The unique format pairs top-table gamers with the best in painting and sportsmanship.
The invite-only doubles event takes place at Warhammer World next weekend (29/30 Mar).
Doubles pairs are made up of the top 16 players in the league as well as the eight players who won the most Best Painted awards.
The remaining players come from the eight Most Sporting players in the 2024 GBHL Season.
The GBHL Committee, which organised the free event as a reward to the most committed hobbyists, said "we thought it was time to reward the GBHL's most extraordinary artisans and hobby heroes, as well as those who've proven themselves fearsome opponents over the tabletop."

The weekend of gaming - at the spiritual home of MESBG, Warhammer World - also includes a one day Masters event which will see the top 16 GBHL players compete in a knock-out to crown the Master of the 2024 season.
The Masters pulls in the top players from the GBHL last year, as well as regional league winners (there's often an overlap, of course).
It means this event could see clashes of top players who may not have played against one another last season - adding to the knock-out excitement.
Elsewhere, winners of the Most Sporting and the Best Painted will have a friendly gaming event on Day 2.
The painting competition will also be one to watch, with some incredibly talented painters gathered in one place no doubt trying to out-do one another.
The tournament will award GBHL points and prizes to winners - which will hopefully prove an additional incentive for 2025's players to step up their game in the hopes of securing an invite to this prestigious event next year. Keep an eye out for updates on the GBHL Facebook page next weekend!
