Tourney Preview: Hampshire GT

Planning your diary for GBHL Events can be a tricky one, but we're hoping this blog can be a waymarker to point you towards events off your radar. This Summer, The Hampshire GT in Portsmouth hopes to see dozens compete in large event in a GBHL100 tourney. TO in charge is Paul Marshallsay, he's sent us this dispatch:

"The Hampshire GT is aiming to become one of the premier events in the GBHL calendar. A 650 points, GBHL 100 tournament with a great venue which includes open gaming and drinks on the evening of Friday 21 July 2023 and a Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game tournament on 22 and 23 July 2023. We have capacity for up to 120 players to come and pit their skills against each other.

There's oodles of room at the Hampshire GT.

For several years I have been running a very large Age of Sigmar grand tournament with my Ug Hobby buddy Wayne. Having both become devotees of the awesomeness that is MESBG, it seems only logical we put our tournament organiser experience towards a big GT in the south; hence the Hampshire Grand Tournament MESBG 2023. Our venue is fantastic, a school with a hospitality area next to the large hall, with integrated bar next door. It allows for an easy sixty tables with a separate place for players to relax when not involved in their games and on into the evening. There is also a food hall which serves the lunches which is all part of the ticket price.

Over the last few years we have been investing in and making a huge amount of terrain for our events. Much of this has been geared towards Middle Earth specific items, which means we can have thematic tables throughout the hall.

High quality playing areas and that big event feel will make this a must visit for experienced and beginner players alike.

Thanks Paul - it certainly sounds like a cool event, and with the growing scene in Southern England it will certainly be of interest to plenty of gamers looking for a weekend experience.
